Taking action for glaciers

2025 is the International Year of Glacier Preservation. 2025 also marks the launch of the first "Act for Glaciers" festival, to be held from March 20 to 22, 2025. This unprecedented event will bring together scientists, mountain professionals, elected representatives, companies, artists and the general public to focus on the preservation of glacial and post-glacial ecosystems.

Over three days, the festival will feature conferences, workshops, exhibitions and artistic performances to encourage discussion and the emergence of concrete solutions.

The films shown are :

• Notre Air, directed by Dorothée Adam and Mathieu Navillod. Uniting sport and the environment around the common good that sustains us, Notre Air is a document that highlights a story of citizen mobilization.
• Downstream, directed by Huw James. A documentary that follows hydro-ecology doctor Juliette Becquet on a journey to understand the devastating effects of melting glaciers.
