Hotel La Cachette, the renewal

Closed for two years, La Cachette is turning a new page in its history this season under the impetus of its new owner, Friendly Hôtel.

La Cachette is a building with a strong architectural component in the heart of Arc 1600," explains Laurent Chelle, co-founder of this hotel group. We wanted to reinvent it as a modern and comfortable place to live, integrating an eco-responsible vision, while respecting its history, its architecture and its design. In a word, its original spirit. We were fortunate to be able to work on this project with the Patriarche agency, which was able to reinterpret the premises perfectly."

Built by architects Alain Taves and Robert Rebutato in the early 1970s, under the direction of Charlotte Perriand, this new 4* hotel now has 88 rooms with a view of the mountain. The bar-coworking area, a central living space open to the outside, is integrated into an entirely glazed gallery; a pre-existing gallery whose volume has been doubled. "A special effort was also made to choose the furniture. I'm very proud of the result, especially since we all know that rehabilitation is complex, costly and economically uncertain. What satisfaction when it works!"
